September 2012: Solitude & Fellowship

The usual solitude in the woods was not prevalent on Sat 8 Sept, instead there was the gentle buzz of conversation and laughter.

I was back in the woods a few days later, this time, with just my own thoughts for company away from the distractions of the city, work & home. I shut my eyes, for a brief moment, and heard the echoes of the voices from a few days before. I opened my eyes to a smile: my own- which is just as well as anyone else’s at that precise moment would not have been good!

Although I enjoy the silence of the area (at times) the thought that one day it may accommodate more than the occasional passing soul was a warming one.
