July 2012: Kilmahew Productive Garden produce Flemings First!

24/07/2012

The first early potatoes that were planted during afternoon activities of session 1 (March 23rd), Duke of York and Charlotte, are now ready to Harvest! We will dig them up this week, and take them along to Glasgow Harvest, being hosted at Greyfriars Garden, the Merchant City’s new community growing space by SAGE (Sow and Grow Everywhere), on saturday, 28th July 2012. We are going to swap them at the THIS FOR THAT home-grown exchange market.

we’ll post pictures of what we gather in return for our tasty tatties, the crop that was called ‘Flemings First’, in honour of Kilmahew’s head gardener in days gone by.
