The early reconnaissance photographs show the spatial beauty but also diminish it; you get no impression of how the eye sees it in real time. A photograph from one view point does not show how the landmasses and water interconnect. When you walk through a landscape you see if from different angles, your journey adds to and explains the final view.

The final view is therefore made up of more than your eyes are seeing at that moment. How can we start to communicate this?
