May 2012: The Site Documenters

18/05/2012

Our question was: ‘how can we document this site?’ There is already lots of documentation available, such as the many photos of the seminary that can be found on the internet; we wanted to explore different ways of telling stories about the place.

These included: tracking colours across the site (e.g. photographing all the yellow things we could find); making rubbings of the metalwork in the old glasshouses; recording video footage; recording sounds associated with the site (e.g. the bell on the nearby golf course); and collecting objects, such as an old telegraph pole insulator found in the walled garden.
